Understand Your Voting Rights

A mere 90 years ago, women were prohibited from voting. Until 86 years ago, Native Americans were barred from voting. Only 46 years ago, the poor were excluded from voting due to a poll tax. Until 1965, many racial minorities were not allowed to vote. And at long last, in 1971, the Twenty-sixth Amendment to the United States Constitution stated that all adults above the age of 18 could vote. Read more »
